Greetings from Michigan!
It is hard to believe that summer is almost over and fall is coming - the summer
seems to have flown by! We had a wonderful time with all of Scott's family in April.
We were able to see Peggy and Joshua (Scott's sister and family who live in Canada)
as well as both sets of Scott's grandparents, one of which the boys and Andrea had
never met! All in all, it was a very good trip but also very long. Needless to say,
we were glad to be home!
In May, Andrea's family came out to visit and help with her brother's wedding in
Elkhart, IN. We had a great time with everyone, but it was a very busy time preparing
and attending the wedding.
In the midst of all of that we found out that we are expecting our third baby due at the end of December!
The first trimester was very trying as Andrea was sick a lot and very
fatigued. Things are going much better now and we are eagerly awaiting this baby's
arrival! Luke is hoping for a girl, but we are not sure what the baby is yet (the next
ultrasound won't be until the end of October).
In June and July we felt like we were running continually, trying to catch up with life
after Andrea was so sick. Then we were hit hard when a good friend died in a motorcycle
accident. A few weeks later some other good friends gave birth to a stillborn baby.
Needless to say our summer was very exhausting, both physically and emotionally.
But God is gracious and brought some times of refreshment in the form of Life Action's annual Revival Week, a time when all the staff takes a week and attends services together. This year we had two very good speakers, one of which was a former team member who traveled with Life Action over 20 years ago. Both the speakers had wonderful insight, and we walked away from the week encouraged and challenged in our walk with Christ.
Work in the IT Department has kept Scott and all the guys very busy! Over the summer, they
updated over 40 computers and got them ready for another year on the road. Lester Tolleson,
the IT Helpdesk manager, retired so they are down one person. However, they have two men
interested in joining the IT team, one of which is currently volunteering one day a week.
So again, God is faithfully providing what we need. Please be in prayer that these two
gentlemen would have wisdom to know if this is truly where God wants them and if so that
they would be able to raise their support quickly.
We want to thank you for your faithful support. You are a vital part of our team and we
give thanks to God for each of you. We pray that God will richly bless you and draw you
closer to Himself every day.
Because of Him,
Scott, Andrea, Luke, & Caleb
