Dear Friends and Family,
Merry Christmas!! Isn't this such an exciting time of year, celebrating our Savior's birth? We hope you all had a wonderful time with family this Thanksgiving! The past few weeks have been very busy in the Salzman household, mainly due to our new addition! We would like you to meet Luke Elliot Salzman! He was born November 18th, weighing in at 6 lbs. 15 oz., and was 20 in. long. He is extremely cute and is such a joy and blessing to have around! Labor and delivery went well, though Mom is still recovering.
Andrea's family was able to be in Michigan for a couple of weeks to help out and they were a great blessing! It was so good to have an extended amount of time with them and for them to get to know Luke.
We will be traveling to El Paso, TX for Christmas to see Scott's family. We have not seen them in over a year and a half and we are very eager to introduce Luke to them.
Needless to say there have been several adjustments with this special delivery and we must say that becoming parents is definitely challenging. God is teaching us much about patience, humility, and keeping our priorities straight. Please be in prayer for us, that we would continue to grow in Christ and that we would be faithful to raise Luke in a way that honors God. We greatly desire that this precious child that God has given us will come to know Christ as his Savior while he is still young.
The medial needs sharing program we are a part of will not be able to cover all of the medial expenses we have related to the birth of Luke. At this point, unless we are able to get some significant reductions in our bill, we will need several thousand dollars more than we have. Please pray with us that God will provide for this need and all the extra expenses that come with having a baby!
Life at the NMC (National Ministry Center) is hopping! At the moment the date to go live with the new software is at the beginning of February. This date is continually changing, but we know that God is in control and everything will happen in His perfect timing.
We want to thank you all for how you have blessed us with so many gifts for the baby. We have been overwhelmed with God's goodness to us in that we never lack for anything! We know that God is our provider, but our faith is so lacking and He is so gracious to us to show us His steadfast love for us. So thank you for allowing God to use you to pour out His blessings upon us. We pray that He will heap blessings upon you in return. Merry Christmas!!!
Because of Him,
Scott & Andrea
